This dinner plate was made during my residency in Montana. Made from a gritty earthenware, with a layer of slip poured on prior to drawing/decorating, the piece was glaze fired to cone 04. It is microwave and dishwasher safe, though hand washing is recommended, especially on the exposed red clay portions.
